To start off the year, we cooked our traditional meal Black Eyed Peas, rice, cabbage, ham, and cornbread.
There were seven of us here to eat
we weren’t sure how to put the pages together in a book and I had read online that Hobby Lobby’s Christmas clearance went to 90% off this morning.
so we went to Hobby lobby in hopes of finding something to bind the pages together or to get a small photo album to put the pages in.
They opened at 9 AM
We got there at 11 AM
I think all these serious clearance shoppers got there at 9 AM.
I kind of glanced at what was left in the Christmas aisles, there was not much left and a good bit of what was there was broken.
By the time we checked out, she had been loading her purchases into her little car for a while. And apparently all of her purchases would not fit in her car as she was pushing one of the shopping carts still full of her clearance purchases back into Hobby lobby. We guess she was going to try to leave them there while she went home and unloaded her car.
That’s a lot of shopping!
All we bought was one Purse size photo album.
And if I ever think I need 90% off Hobby lobby Christmas Clearance, I will plan ahead and get there at 9 AM.
But I probably will not ever go there again to Hobby lobby on January 2, the day they traditionally mark everything 90% off
So, did any of y’all go out bargain shopping?
If you did, I hope you found what you wanted
I don’t think I needed a single thing on the Christmas markdowns anyway.

Your traditional NY's day meal sounds so good. I think I've only done that one time. What a crazy experience with the Hobby Lobby Christmas clearance! You gotta wonder if the lady that bought so much stuff that it wouldn't fit into her car, truly NEEDED all that stuff. I would like to think that she was sharing it with other people.Who knows. The only place I stopped in was Target - just to get a couple of rolls of wrapping paper. Your granddaughter's scrapbook is so cute. Her friend will love it!
ReplyDeleteI had my traditional NY meals as well - we all need luck!! LOL
ReplyDeleteNo shopping here, need to have my own sale.
I have never shopped the after Christmas sales. By the time Christmas is over, I really don't wan to see it again until next year. I am going to Hobby lobby today for a birthday gift. I hope it's not too crowded. I also hope my granddaughter still wants to hang out when she's 15 :) That's only 5 more years.
ReplyDeleteI went into Hobby Lobby the day after Christmas for a non Christmas related item. The lines were all the way back to the middle of the store! The crazy thing is that it was only 60% off and it was that way a few days before Christmas when I went in for treat bags. I shook my head and turned around and left.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Elizabeth is 15! Times goes by way too fast.
No shopping here. I really think I was shopped out before Christmas. However I will be shopping tomorrow, but just for groceries and some towels which probably will not be on sale but will finish off my replacements.
ReplyDeleteThat woman sure did a great deal of shopping.
God bless.
I went to a local gift shop to buy some laundry detergent that I love, but only use 1 teaspoonful of it per load added to my regular unscented detergent. While I was there I saw 3 things I had to have. Fortunately they were marked down form 14.00 to 3.50. As much as I like them I would never have paid that price for them.
