I've done them in egg shells, TP tubes and newspapers...all very successfully.
Like you, I have a folding clothes dryer...I love using it.
Especially when the wood stove is going. I think they dry pretty fast in there and the moisture HAS TO HELP.
I sent you an email also.

have a great week. Maybe I'd also get some sun-loving piggies to keep the seedlings company. Just too cute!

Have a good week!Marciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03355606888311832183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4290836394516314441.post-58139645001233051482014-02-18T08:04:19.912-06:002014-02-18T08:04:19.912-06:00Robert and I planted green onions in pots on my pa...Robert and I planted green onions in pots on my patio this past Saturday. Too soon to start seeds here but down the line I think I shall try that, since egg shells are good for the compost as well, why not start off that way. Ingenious! :) I just have to start practicing cracking the egg shells differently from what I can see in the photo...Deb @ Frugal Little Bungalowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13091419343402163298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4290836394516314441.post-67777718811558357932014-02-17T19:44:28.524-06:002014-02-17T19:44:28.524-06:00Yu = you! Mainly because I don't have much room in front of a sunny window for the plants. All that room is already taken up by house plants! I have an idea to pass on to you for the laundry...instead of using fabric softener which is loaded with chemicals, try using plain white vinegar in your rinse water instead. It softens the clothes and is non-toxic. I need to use my drying rack more than I have been - thanks for the reminder!Melaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08659968511488397366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4290836394516314441.post-87873476860271497752014-02-17T16:38:01.046-06:002014-02-17T16:38:01.046-06:00Must be laundry day. I don't mind the stiffness from line dried clothes but Chuck does so I put his into the dryer for about 10 minutes to soften them.
