I don't enjoy being outside on these very cold days so I've been finding things at home to keep me busy.
Using up supplies I already had, including this vintage rick rack, some plain tea towels and fabric print made by Debbie Mumm years ago.......
I added decorations to these towels and have 7 new kitchen towels.
We've worked one jig-saw puzzle - it really enjoyable too
and have 2 more to put together.
and I cleaned under the hall bathroom sink, put down some wallpaper to line the shelf and added a new toilet brush - not an especially fun job but one that needs done every so often.
Are you staying busy at home or are you just out in this cold weather not letting it bother you?
Oh, wow! Super-cute tea towels! What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm staying home! I haven't gotten to any crafty things, but my house is much cleaner! :)
ReplyDeleteThose towels are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI actually got outside and gardened a bit today, but it was like 70 degrees. Gardening sounds glamorous, but it was more like weeding. Man those little buggers really shoot up after a rain or two!
Hi Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteHow cute. I feel inspired to get myself busy tomorrow. I love how you deorated the towels. I love puzzles. Oh if we lived closer the fun we could have while our children played. LOL
Hugs,
Elizabeth
I have a jigsaw puzzle to put together. Maybe I'll work on it tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me of it. :)

Cute, cute tea towels!!! I am so amazed at your creativity.
ReplyDeleteI've been staying home, trying to get caught up on cleaning and paperwork - and tweaking my cleaning routine. I haven't done any creating, but plenty of thinking about what I want to do when I get caught up.
I'm home trying to stay warm. I've sewn 2 skirts in the past week. I worked on some cleaning and organizing today. Hopefully, I'll get back to knitting an afghan soon.
ReplyDeleteTowels are adorable! You are such a talented lady. The heartland puzzle I like the scene. I never had the patience for puzzles. Older sister sat for hours doing them.
ReplyDeleteThe towels are adorable! :) I am trying to stay busy, but I get distracted so easily... need to focus, focus, focus! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the towels. The fabric reminds me of Mary Englebreit, who is one of my favorites.....

I love the towels!! I have been wanting to put a puzzle together - perhaps I will just have to get one out. Sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog. Love the title! I enjoyed my visit and will be back.
Blessings,

I love the towels! You are very creative! I enjoy puzzles too and hubby bought me one that looks to be challenging...the solar system! :O
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've done a great job at staying busy, being creative and productive. It must be something about this time of year -- I just put down new shelf paper in my linen closet, the kind of shelf paper with a scent to it so my towels and sheets will stay nice and lavender-y. :) Happy January!
ReplyDeletelove the tea towels
ReplyDeleteThose towels are so cute! It's actually warming up here. It's in the 40's today and tomorrow it'll be in the 50's. I think I'm going to go out tomorrow and work in my garden a bit!

ReplyDeleteI love me a jigsaw puzzle too. Hmmm, maybe this weekend...
I have not been looking at blogs as much lately and have not visited in a while. Hope you are well? I just posted about getting so much more needlework done with all the cold and snow. It is nice to have things getting done. I have two UFOs done already this year.
ReplyDeleteYour towels are adorable. Now you have one for each day of the week. Very cute.
Hugs ~
