$25 Walmart giftcard giveaway compliments of Cascade Complete All-in-one Actions Packs -

Contest is closed ---------

Thank you all for entering and leaving comments.
The winner is Lyn!

MyBlogSpark offered me this challenge and giveaway to post on my blog.
They sent me a very nice baking dish and a package of Cascade Complete All-in-1 ActionPacs for the dishwasher.

This is the challenge I got from Cascade - We dare you to take the 24 Hour Challenge.

Instructions:

Bake a Cherry Cobbler.* Enjoy!

Set the empty baking dish out for 24 hours

Without rinsing, put it in the dishwasher with Cascade Complete

Now I normally rinse all the dishes pretty well before I load them in the dishwasher, don't you?

and then, they wanted me to post a picture of the dried-on, unrinsed, unscrubbed dish when it came out the dishwasher. I thought this was very bold of them and did not think there would be a clean dish at the end of the cycle,
but see for yourself! It really did come clean. I think I've finally found a dishwasher detergent I really like.

They provided me with a $25 Walmart giftcard to award to one of the commenter's.
To enter, just tell me what meal leaves the most mess on your cookware

  1. Definately, baked lasagna.
Especially when you reheat in the same baking dish in the microwave.

Thanks for hosting this giveaway, Rhonda.

  3. Wow, I'm impressed! I always wash all my dishes before they go into the dishwasher, because I have had awful dishwashers for so many years, although the one I have now is pretty good. I think the worst mess for me is cornbread or cake, I don't even try in the dishwasher, I just automatically wash those pans by hand because they never come clean in the dishwasher.

  4. I think eggs leave the worst mess on my dishes.

  5. Eggs make the most mess for sure!

  6. For some reason anything with spaghetti sauce turns all my plastic containers redish brown! I'd love to find a detergent that doesn't do this.

  7. Oatmeal is the worst thing to try and clean after it has set in the bowl for any length of time. It becomes like cement.

  8. Cheese...melted and baked on the dish...closely followed by eggs and the ring of milk in a glass that sat over night.

Being the skeptic that I am, I'm curious what would happen if you baked the cobbler in one of your own pans?

    I use that detergent already!

  9. baked lasagna is the worst for me. I absolutely love Cascade complete paks - they are the only thing I use. The less expensive detergents just don't work as well for me.

  10. Tater tot casserole is one of our worst if it gets the least bit dried on. This is an awesome giveaway!

  11. beanie weenies (cooked in the oven)!

  12. Anything starchy, like potatoes or rice. Sticky and STUCK!

The store was out of my regular (cheap) brand of detergent recently, so I bought those Cascade packs you just reviewed. I have to say, I really like them!

  13. I would have to say baked lasagna as well. I too tried the Cascade packs and I really like them as well. As a matter of fact that is what I will buy from now on.

  14. Eggs baked in the microwave leave the worst mess for me.

  15. I agree w/everyone else and would like to throw Chicken Enchilida Casserole into the mix...

  16. Grits! Definitely grits leave the worst mess...I too 'wash' my dishes before they go into the dishwasher. I rinse really well and if they are greasy I'll sometimes use soap on them. I often wonder why I even bother to put them in the dishwasher then because they're actually clean, but husband thinks the dishwasher disinfects them as well. Not that we're contagious...It's one of those medical field phobia thingys, lol.

  17. My hubbie loads the dishwasher and always cleans everything before he puts them in there. He soaks everything that has any baked on gunk. The worst one at our house is definitely lasagna. Also meatloaf and scalloped potatoes.

  18. Lasagna for sure! Thanks for the chance to win. :)

  19. Hi Dear Friend,
Anything with meat sauce makes a real mess. Miss Candi said tell Theo she was very good yesterday. Her daddy took her to the beauty shop and then bought her a new collar. She smells so sweet. It seems both of our babies had a rough day trying to be good. LOL
    What a fun give away.
    Hugs,
    Elizabeth

  20. I have yet to find anything that gets dried grits off of a dish. Need to re-glue something? Use grits and let 'em dry. A hurricane couldn't break it after the grit-glue!

  21. I can think of lots of things that are hard to get clean but most of them have been mentioned. How about cheese grits mixed with an egg? Now there's a messy plate!

Um...I did see a spot on your dish but realized my computer screen needs cleaning. LOL!!! ;-D

  22. my messiest dish is when i fix apricot chicken talk about sticky and messy.. yucko!

  23. I cook eggs often and they stick a lot, no matter what I seem to do (especially scrambled eggs).

I'm the residential dishwasher here, :) but that product seemed to work really well for you!

  24. I think oatmeal bowls from breakfast are hard to get clean. With only hubby and me now at home, I don't run the dishwasher every day. If it sits with unrinsed oatmeal bowls for a day or so, it's like cement.

  25. Happy Mother's Day, Rhonda! I hope you have a wonderful day! :)
