Our neighborhood had their annual sale on Saturday and lots of homes had sales.
We shop at yard sales so often that I can be very selective about what I buy. I found a few too-good-to-be-true purchases.
First is this week's Pyrex - a blue divided dish $3
2 Corningware pans - one is a skillet and the other is a large saucepan with lid - $2 for both
At an estate sale, I spent $2 and got a stack of flower pots and all this fabric and muslin
I roughly counted the muslin and I think one piece is about 6 yards long and the other is 12 yards. It is really nice quality fabric too.
a floormat-play gym for Elizabeth - the music pad plays Mozart very softly
I started going to yard sales very regularly about 4 years ago and Jeff started going last summer. At first, he usually just drove me and sat in the truck. Now he looks with me at most sales and I think he likes to shop at them as much as I do.
I did not even see this thing at the sale where he bought it but he liked it alot. And now, we own it! I am not sure if I am happy about that or not.
Who knows? maybe we will both like it so much and use it everyday - then we will might look like Bob and Jillian.

Great finds, I love your corningware. I went yardsaling yesterday with my daughter in the pouring rain and she got a few nice things. One was a brandnew baby booster seat for just $5.00. But my favorite of all was a bag of yarn for just $1.00 and its all nice yarn. Whoohoo.
ReplyDeleteBTW, thank you so much for the coupons I love them. Can't wait to use them. I have been visiting my daughter and her family and got home this evening. Have a lot of catching up to do. XOXO take care
Nice, nice finds! I love all of it. That workout equipment is great!
ReplyDeleteScore on the fabric!
ReplyDeleteWe have the same workout machine (or very close)--paid close to $2000 here in Canada. I wish I had more incentive to use it..haha.
Great finds! I have a few Corning pans like the ones that you found and I enjoy cooking with them. You sure did get a lot of fabric for $2!
ReplyDeleteNice fabric and pyrex, you had a successful thrifty weekend! I hope the workout set will be used, those things tend to gather dust in homes across America!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of that blue pyrex dish, how pretty. Love the Corning cookware. I remember having a set of those a long time ago. Yours looks in terrific condition.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a torture device! :) You had some great finds!
ReplyDeleteWhat great finds! I really need to start checking out more yard sales instead of just driving on by. You always come away with such treasures. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Pyrex and Corningware
ReplyDeleteThat fabric! SCORE!!! Great stuff all around. That Pyrex is a lovely color. Enjoy all your treasures.
ReplyDeleteMy BIL has this and an eliptical machine and he does both of these each night for a half hour each. I think you have a great start for a home gym.
ReplyDeleteWow Rhonda! You found some great stuff! I really like your stack of fabrics, the muslens are great!!! My hubby has one of those weight machines, I don't use it, but he certainly does. Nice that your hubby likes going to garage sales, wish mine did.
ReplyDeleteI also really like the melmac serving dish! I need one like that for my patio.
Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog, the ugly is what's on the night stand. Have you ever noticed that you never see "real" bedroom items, like kleenex box, Tums, earplugs, radios and such in magazines and even on peoples beautiful blogs? I don't think it is such a bad thing to be real, (within reason) do you?
Hugs, Cindy S
You won the yard sale award for these finds! I am jealous of all that fabric - lucky girl you!!
ReplyDeleteWow, you found some good treasures there! Now you've got me looking for pyrex stuff - I have a few pieces and enjoy using them. My main loves for dishes are Fiesta Ware and Depression Glass. But I like the pyrex, too. :) Thanks for sharing pictures of your finds! That's fun to see.
ReplyDeleteLove the Pyrex blue dish!! Also that top piece of fabric, the green and white. Good score. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou made out on the fabrics. Now that gym thing is a bit big! Yikes...I would not be sure I would like owning it either. Has he been using it? He will nice and strong to carry all your bargains...lol.

You did good Rhonda! I ran across a website today while looking for a recipe that reminded me of you. I think you have a good collection of casserole dishes.

The recipe looked good too.
My husband has learned to really love yard sales too. I had to train him to slow down so we could see the signs and turn without having to turn around and go back. hahaha. Also what I really like and really want to bring home with me.
ReplyDeleteHe has a good eye and sees things I don't notice. He's also made a good little bit of $$$ selling sports and racing memorabilia on ebay. Stuff that he's picked up for cheap at yard sales.
Some friends of ours have one of those machines which I've used and it works great! Naturally they do require work on your part. hahaha Don't think I'd want one at home, but I guess it would work great to hang clothes on!
I love seeing your yard sale posts!
Rhonda, I need to come to OK for the sales there. You always find GREAT things. Elizabeth is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteHi Dear Friends,
ReplyDeleteYou got some good bargains. You would have loved my yard sale. :) Miss candi said tell Theo she had so much fun outside pestering the birds that her mommy fed. LOL We put an offer in on another house last night.
Hugs,
Elizabeth
