| Since I found new towels last week, I turned the grungiest of the the old ones into rags. The hand towels got cut in half and a zig-zag stitch put over the cut to keep it from raveling. I added a little scrap of trim to the washcloths so they will be easily recognizable as a rag and not get put back with the towels. |

| I made a simple batch of pineapple preserves - it was simple, easy and tastes good...... |

| Our son finished law school in December, took the bar exam in Feb. and will found the results in April. He studied lots, stressed a lot, so to relax a little at home, he got this tissue flower kit from my craft closet and started making some. |

| the kit makes 24 so he has a ways to go- they are really pretty and realistic for just paper. The local attorney he is working for is keeping him busy, maybe all 24 will get done, maybe not. |

| I am trying to make a blouse for me using an old blouse as a pattern - I've been sewing for 40+years but I've never done this. I'll let you know how it turns out. |

| I've done a few diaper and wipe deals - I read about the deals at some of the coupon blogs and found some great savings. I think I am stocked up, for awhile anyway! |
As always Rhonda, you have been busy. Great deals on the diapers. They always a needed item. Have your son in my prayers~~he will do good! I am sure the blouse will turn out. Hopefully he will finish the flowers for you. They do look pretty darn good. Will check out the pineapple preserves here in a few minutes. What are you thinking to do with the blue blackberry material? I like it because it is blue! I better be getting ready to head to work. You always give a person so many ideals to do!!!

ReplyDeleteI hope your blouse turns out well. I found two lovely patterns and was about to cut them out when, my machine seized up on me. I am really bummed! Now I have to find a place to get it fixed.
Speaking of fixed, you look to be fixed with wipes and diapers for a long time, good for you! They are so expensive.

You have been busy. Well done. That is a lot of disposable diapers there. Have you thought of using eco-friendly disposables or especially when they are on sale? ReplyDeleteI have that same flower-craft kit! I think I made 3 flowers, then gave up. It was more tedious than I liked. Maybe when my niece comes over for a craft day with me, we'll work on that a bit. She might enjoy it. Or not.
