this is the pattern I used, I am pretty sure I bought it at a thrift store a while ago for 10 cents. I only made the skirt but I do like patterns that offer more than one garment like this one does. |
This project is about using what I had to make something I need and want.
I will be wearing these skirts often this summer and am very pleased that I did not have to go shop for them or spend.

Very pretty Skirts Rhonda! I love to make this type of skirt.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a smart one! I love your skirts, and I, too, appreciate simple patterns that make up really quickly.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the one with the white background with the lovely greens on it, very fun!
I am going to make a couple of easy-peasy elastic waisted skirts for one of my friends. They take so little fabric and time and are such great projects!
Have a great day!

So cute! I love skirts...and elastic waists are just so comfy!
ReplyDeleteThey look lovely. I think the second one from the left would be a nice skirt for office work in summer, as well as for every day.

I like your skirts - you did a good job! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job with using what you have. I could sure use some for work. I like to wear skirts.
ReplyDeleteGuess which skirt is MY favorite?lol
ReplyDeleteThat poncho on the pattern looks like the one I just bought (won't say for how much either). It was made of cotton gauze and about four inches from the outside finished edge to form sides. And they gathered elastic under the bosom front and around the back (not sure why there, looks like front would be enough for shape). Cotton gauze fabric is the material. I think it will be a nice wear for summer, cool and breezy.
I found your blog while looking for JoAnn York's book "How I feed my family on $16. a week." I noticed that you posted one of her recipes back in 2007. I wonder if you have her recipe for coleslaw. My family remembers me making it and loved it. I still have my cookbook but the salad section is missing. I would really appreciate it if you could e-mail it to me. Thanks so much!

Wonderful...you have a new summer wardrobe with only an investment of your time. And these pretty fabrics deserved to be used. They all look so pretty.
