We got more great produce from relatives.
The tomatoes are from my mother in law.
Bell peppers are from my dad- we will enjoy fajitas tonight and stuffed peppers tomorrow night
My brother grew this whopper watermelon. It if was even a hair longer, it would not fit in our second apartment size fridge.
My shopping at our new Aldi this week. I got all this for $24 after a $5 grand opening coupon was subtracted. My husband liked the grapes so much and ate almost half of them the day I bought them. So I made another trip there and got 2 boxes more.
My company, while their parents worked this week, were 2 sweet little grandsons. But not at the same time.
I hope you all have had a good week.
I changed the font here, any opinions on if it is better or worse?
And I plan to show more rooms in my home tour very soon.
Goodness, this is a mouth watering post;-) I so miss gardening and oddly enough, no one I know has a veggie garden. I am able to get lemons and oranges from my mom and step-dad, but that is it. I can't even find anyone selling avocados like I use to from their driveways. Rumor has it, our county might be getting an Adli. I am always seeing great deals on different blogs. I like our local Stater Bros., but they have the market on food around here, so they are not always low in price.
ReplyDeleteAll your grandbabies are growing up too fast....why do they do that?? LOL
blessings, jill
ps. to answer your question from my blog, yes the anemia makes me tired, very tired. I have about 3-4 hours of energy per day right now, then its a 3 hour nap time:-( Then I am 'worthless' the rest of the day. I have no way of replying in my comment section, and can't find a way to do that. I have customized everything else on my blog, but no go on the comments.....and you are a no-reply blogger and that is OK.
Oh Jilly, thank you for telling me. When I switched to Google, I guess I became a no-reply. Ugh! I can't see any reason to use the google+ stuff and have switched back.
DeleteI think I am an easy to reply to now, I guess I better go leave some comments and see.
Yes, thank you for changing the font on your blog! This one is much easier to read - the other was tiny. Cannot believe your little guys are so big already and JJ is sitting in a high chair!
ReplyDeleteThanks for telling me Tammy. I don't know why the old font was too small. Mysteries of blogging......we are just starting JJ on cereal, I fed him some today but I don't know he actually swallowed any. He is a big guy and such a good baby
DeleteI am laughing at that watermelon! The fridge shelf is bowing! lol!
ReplyDeleteYour grandchildren are adorable! I like the font much better, easier to read.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love free homegrown produce? The guy across the street brought us green beans, tomatoes, peppers, and zucchini last week - from his dad's garden. I can't believe the size of that watermelon...the shelf is your fridge is "groaning" under the weight!
ReplyDeleteThat watermelon looks like it is bending the shelf. How great that you get produce from family.
ReplyDeleteI love Aldi and Lidl. We pretty much only go there for our shopping. It is rare that I go into other supermarkets as they are so much more expensive. I am a thrifty Dutch girl. :-)
Hugs from Holland ~
Heidi
what a sweet family you have to share with you! I bet that watermelon will be delicious. I can almost taste it right now. This is the first summer that I have not had one bite of watermelon! I love Aldi's too!
