I baked 3 batches of buns, 1 batch is for us to eat at home and 2 batches will go with husband to work for a birthday dinner there.
I had some yummy tea from my friend Elizabeth in a silly Santa mug.
Mended a bath towel
Put fresh sheets on the bed and added a very warm afghan and a fuzzy blanket

I think I will just stay home and hibernate until it warms back up.
And here I am whining about temps in the 50's/40's. Stay warm my friend, stay warm.
ReplyDeleteblessings, jill
I think we're preparing for the worst but hoping for the best with this winter weather warning. Looks like you're ready, Saturday's game should be interesting. BRRR!
ReplyDeleteGo POKES!
Smiles,
Carol
Some of my children have tickets and I don't know what they are going to do.
DeleteI'll be watching the game on TV in our warm home. Yes, go Pokes!
Buns look yummy! We are to start getting freezing rain, sleet and snow tom. thru Friday. Thank goodness I am off tom. and have Friday off for my pumpkin getting voted the best. Our temps our to be cold too for the next week. Was 69 today!
ReplyDeleteStay safe and warm, everything looks so cozy. I won't tell you what are temps are today and for the rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like our weather forecast. Brrr! I am heading out in a few to pick up a few more groceries and then I plan to stay home as much as possible. I just thinking last night that I need to add another blanket to our bed.
ReplyDeleteStay warm! How do you get your buns so uniform?
ReplyDeleteHi Aggie, i think the uniformity must be an optical illusion, they taste good but don't always look the same.
DeleteI do roll out the dough about 1/2 inch thick and use round cutters. I have a 3 inch and 4 inch round circle cutters.m
Hibernation! Sounds good to me, but bad weather always brings more work and worry here on the farm. I'm already worrying about baby calves and older weak cows. Schools are closed today.
ReplyDeleteLil red hen, I think you are in Arkansas and maybe in the path of the freezing rain. Please let me how you are when the the front goes through,
DeleteI know how destructive that freezing rain can be.
Our forecast is for high temps in the teens and below zero wind chills. Looks like we'll have snow over the weekend. I'm adding a blanket and the heated mattress pad to the bed today.
ReplyDeleteSnuggle up and stay warm!
A heated mattress pad sounds nice!
DeleteWe were supposed to have the same forecast as you, but it looks like the snow might veer away from the area. I think we'll still get the cold temperatures, though :-)
ReplyDeleteWe got a little snow this afternoon and are supposed to get heavy snow while we sleep. The snow is OK. I am concerned about all the areas that are supposed to get that freezing rain as it knocks out most power utilities.
DeleteKathy, hope you all get through this fine,
You are in for some old weather. The lowest lows are as cold as our highs have been, not great for Okies, eh?
ReplyDeleteNo, we Okies know about extreme weather but these temps are not normal. Weathermen say it will probably break records. Brrrr!
DeleteI noticed that pretty embroidery on the pillow case!! :)
ReplyDeleteIce pellets here right now / not sure how much snow we'll end up with later though. ( the weather men are rarely correct until it is actually happening! :)
We finally made it above 0 today, after almost 2 weeks with temperature below -10, I'm thankful for 20 degrees. Do you have your bun recipe posted? I've been looking for a good bun recipe after two failed attempts, I've been patiently waiting for one to pop up.
