Lunch and snacks are ready and waiting in the fridge. Yesterday's shopping netted some very nice fruit.
I made up a small batch of homemade cake mix so the grands can stir up and bake their own tiny bundt cake - we got the little pans from my mom and the tiny whisks are from an Amish store in Branson, MO.
But whatever the weather brings, we have fun!
Oh I do hope for the grands sake it stops raining soon....and then just send that rain out our way. Love the pool. Kids really do have some cool things today.
ReplyDeleteMy 'missed his calling as a meteorologist' husband did give me the low down on the 'El Nino' that is headed our way come fall. Of course, that will be after fire season so flooding and mud slides probably everywhere. By the way Rhonda, did you see the fire report on Camp Pentagon? Here is a link: http://www.mccscp.com/brushfire. It burned nearly 18 percent of the base. Scary as that is probably one of the nicest bases, we think.
Hope all is well. Have a great weekend.
blessings, jill
What a great idea with the cake batter and little bundt pans. I may have to steal this one next time our grands come over!
ReplyDeleteThey might have to run through the rain in their swim trunks! ha. Maybe the cakes will be a nice distraction. :)
ReplyDeleteThankful it's only rain and none of those nasty tornados!!! Our grands love having those mini bunt cakes for tea parties. We have a new store in town called "Nothing Bunt Cakes" they are the hosest new thing. They have a web site you can check out
ReplyDeleteHope you get the sun! It is sunny and pretty hot here today so it looks like a pool day . I just don't have one of those cool inflatables for my granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteCake parties might be a close runner up to swimming though!
