Fancy vegetables

We found these varieties of fresh produce at Sprouts, a chain grocery store sort of like Whole Foods.
One night I cooked some of the fresh green beans with some of the whole tiny potatoes - just delicious!
Another night, I oven roasted some the tiny potatoes with just a little olive oil and coarse salt.

The rainbow organic carrots are good too, I am not sure they are any tastier than regular orange carrots, but they are pretty.
I peeled the whole bag and chopped them and some celery.  They are great with a little dip for a snack or side dish.

  3. My daughter shops at Sprouts. We have its sister store, Fresh Thyme. Excellent produce and great sales. We have double add day where we can get last week's and next week's prices on the same day.

  7. We're going to plant seeds for multi-colored carrots in our garden this year. I expect they taste the same as orange carrots, but they're kind of fun.

  8. Trader Joes here has all those pretty veggies, too. Aren't those multi-colored carrots pretty? We don't have Sprouts, but we do have Whole Foods. I never go there though because it's about 1/2 hour away, plus it's VERY expensive.

    1. There is not a Sprouts in our town but we sometimes shop there when we go to OKCity. Sprouts is much more reasonably priced than Whole Foods. As far as I know, Trader Joes has not yet come to Oklahoma.
