No before pictures, just afters. I am really happy with it.
The only purchases were a $1 shirt and $1 pair of little boy pants.
The shirt is MudPie brand and tagged a 3T but it looks smaller than that and will probably fit the 5 month old next summer.
I got some free magazines at the same thrift store- some current cooking magazines......
And these older Japan Quilts issues.
All the words are Japanese but the photos are beautiful and the best I can tell, all the projects have patterns in the magazines.
A new way to wrap wire hangers - right up my alley!
Fabric pieced window toppers
A very cute toy

I know I will enjoy these big magazines and my Mom will too.
He had so much fun picking dandelions in the yard of an empty house near us. To him, they were the prettiest flowers in the world. :)
About CVS, I didn't do any deal shopping there last week and I don't think I am going this week. I do plan to shop the next sales circular that starts Nov.1.
A grocery store has these Red Gold tomato products on special- when you purchase 10, it deducts 40 cents from each.
I got 30 cans for $13.70. I use canned tomatoes often when I cook. This was such a good deal and the sale runs through Tuesday. I think I should back and get more as there was no limit. The cans are dated use by 2017 and I will use them long before that.
That's the news from here. I hope you all are having good weeks in your homes too.
I love what you did with the living room, especially the photo wall. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteGreat op shop finds! Magazines are my weakness. So much enjoyment and so many ideas from them! Buy only from op shops.
ReplyDeleteI have been spring cleaning and re arranging too. It's very satisfying.
Your little Grandson is beautiful. xxx
Hello Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteYour living room looks great! And I never thought about it, but quilting in Japan ... How awesome is that? Thanks for sharing photos of the Japanese quilting books. Regarding your grocery finds, this is exactly how I shop for any foods we don't grow, produce or wild harvest ourselves. When I find a great buy, I purchase several months worth.
Blessings to you and yours,
Mrs.B
Your living room looks great - nice and cozy. My youngest son is living and studying in Japan. He has tried to teach me a few words, but I find it most confusing!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day:)
Laurie
The living room is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI am partial to tomatoes and buy them like crazy every time I find a great deal. You just can't have too many cans in my opinion.
I love that your little loves picking dandelions!
Hi Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteI iz here!
I drop into your blog from time to time and see what you are up to.
Your Living room looks awesome and you did get a heck of a great deal on the tomatoes. Wish this special was in my neighborhood for I love using tomatoes in the dishes I fix.
God bless,
d
Hi Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteWow what great deals. I have been thinking about you.
Hugs,
Elizabeth
Your living room looks so nice. Such great finds too at the thrift store. It's nice of them to give them to you for free. I love Taste of Home, they have some great recipes!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Hi Rhonda ~ your living room looks very cozy! I like how you have a big, circular seating area that is perfect for when you have your family over. Nice gathering spot. Our living room is very tiny, so I can't do something like that. Lucky you for getting free magazines! And great deal on the tomatoes. Your grandson is so precious and cute. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour home is so very inviting!
ReplyDeletePlease drop by and say hello!
Blessings,
Laura of Harvest Lane Cottage
Your front room looks very nice! Great deal on the tomatoes. And has always score at the thrift store!
ReplyDeleteI like the arrangement. The banner on the fireplace looks great.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is a great deal on tomatoes! I can get them super cheap around here during the summer ($3 for a 5 gallon bucket) so I canned a bunch. But I'm using them up faster than I anticipated and am hoping I'll find a good sale to stock up on some too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link love in your side bar. I was nosing around on my Google Analytics and noticed I was getting some traffic from your site. So I had to hop over and take a look. I'm flattered to be one of the blogs that you follow. :)
