January 14- not much

I’m not really feeling like blogging right now.
I’m seeing so much fact checking and censorship going on in media,  I’m losing my desire to read or visit any kind of media.
That being said,  I don’t plan to shut down this little blog without announcing in advance.   But it is a possibility

Here are a few homemaking things I’ve been up to

This weeks to do list above - before anything was done

A little food prep- I peeled a bunch of oranges that had been hanging out in the crisper drawer
My husband ate them all in 3 sittings.

A funny from my daughter
And no, she is not really selling them for any price.  Her family will really enjoy them.

That’s it for now

❤️Rhonda

  1. Hey Rhonda,
I hope you don't shut down your blog. I've enjoyed it for so many years now. I feel like you're a friend. I enjoy reading about your "doings" and family. Hope you stick around! Really!
    thanx,

  3. LOL on your daughter. I hardly ever comment but have been reading for a very long time. I hope you are able to keep your blog up (is that selfish of me?) but I enjoy reading it, your tips, seeing your pictures of your grandchildren, etc. I so agree with you though about the media and all we have been seeing.....take care

  5. I had to laugh (& cry) for your daughter...she is totally right.

My daughter-in-law has a cookie business & made 130 chocolate bombs through the holidays. She only charged $5 each...less than others around here. And they were so adorable.
I'll plug her if you don't mind...she is on Facebook & taking a much needed break right now. https://www.facebook.com/leahlouscookies

  6. I understand your feelings on the blog..I do hope you continue. It's good to read normal helpful things like peeling those oranges. It really does to prep them and they will grab healthy snacks.

  8. Hmmm, never thought of peeling the oranges might have to do so as there seems to be an abundance that need eating.

    God bless.

  10. Oh Rhonda, please don't shut down your blog! I think we all need peaceful, homemaking, pleasant blogs like yours, especially now. Blogs like yours (and hopefully mine) are a pleasant diversion from the onslaught of negative media. Perhaps we can be beacons of light right now, even if we feel we have nothing to blog about. Which is how I'm feeling right now. {{hugs}}

  11. Rhonda, I sure would miss your blog if you shut it down.

I got a hot cocoa bomb for Christmas and thought they would time to make. I haven't tried them. Not sure if I will or not.

May have to try the dill pickle chicken.

The oranges look good. I hate peeling them but if they are all peeled already ao so easy to eat.

    Take Care.

  12. Rhonda, You're one of my favs. Your refried beans recipe is the only one we use and we've named them, Rhonda's Beans. Love your lists! You're so down to earth and that's what makes your blog special. I'd so miss you but completely understand. My family had Covid, lost my job, my cat died and my son had surgery in Nov. for cancer. To say 2020 was the pits is an understatement. Sending hugs your way, Patti.

  13. I know I commented on this the other day. Mine was actually the first comment, but it looks like it didn't go thru to you? Like the others, I would really miss your blog posts if you were to take a break. I have learned many things from you and enjoy reading about "real" things online. If you need a break, it will be understood, but you will be very missed.
