before the decorating gets done. YIKES!
My trees are up and looking pretty, my goal today is to put up the rest of the decorations, then to ruthlessly go through what I don't use and box it up to donate.
John 16:33 (New American Standard Bible)
"These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."
My mom is doing the same thing with her decorations. They did a lot of remodeling in their home and just didn't want all the decorations they had stored, so she is going to give some of it away.
ReplyDeleteMy living room looks the same way! I get so excited about getting everything out, but taking care of it? man, no where near as much fun!
ReplyDeleteI went through my decorations several years ago and did the same thing. It is nice to get rid of those things you can no longer use. Someone will love them. I haven't even thought of Christmas decorating yet!! Isn't that AWFUL?!?!! There's always tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a good idea! I find that I use less and less of my decorations each year! I already put it away, but in January, I'm cleaning it out before I take anything down to box up.
ReplyDeleteYou always inspire me to 'get something done' :)
Doesn't it feel good to take a load of stuff to Goodwill? Ahhhhh.
ReplyDeleteAlso, great verse today. Tim Tebow had it written on his face during the Florida / Alabama game on Saturday. I loved being able to point that out to my foster kid!
Count me in as having a similar looking living room!! My bedroom is even worse...it's been my wrapping central!! Thank you for sharing your chaos...it's nice to know I'm not alone. :)
ReplyDeleteWarmly,
Tracey
