Growing collections are so fun! I've been using and collecting vintage Pyrex for awhile and my family knows it is what I like. This holiday season expanded my Pyrex collection - so much that I moved it to a new home.

Jeff found this set at our local antique mall, on Black Friday weekend and everything was 20% off! I used them Christmas for the Strawberry Pretzel salad, deviled eggs and corn casserole |
|
Jimmy gave me this set for Christmas - little loaf pans bake bread so nice and the covered dish is perfect for small casseroles and leftovers. |
|
My brother found this set of classic mixing bowls in New Boston, TX and surprised me with them on my birthday. If you ever watch I Love Lucy, you will see this set on the shelves of her TV kitchen. |

Most of my Pyrex in this bigger cabinet - a few pieces are in the fridge -but I think there is still room for even a few more pieces..... this used to be the cabinet that held the baking supplies and I moved them to a smaller cabinet - see that little blue bowl on the bottom right, in that stack? That was my first piece of vintage Pyrex. Actually it is Jeff's. We lived in his grandparents farmhouse for 18 months. That little blue bowl was there, under the kitchen sink catching the water from a drippy pipe. After Jeff fixed that leak, I washed and kept that bowl. Jeff liked to eat his cereal and ice cream from that bowl. All our children refer to it as "Dad's blue bowl" So, Jeff really started this collection! |

these Pyrex bowls are on top of some of the cabinets |
|
The new baking cabinet - the baking things actually fit better and seem more organized in this smaller cabinet |
My collection is not just for dust catching - I use multiple pieces of it everyday and I am always on the look out for more.
I LOVE the look of the snowflake pyrex pieces - how gorgeous! I would love to find a set like that to snatch up. :) Your collection is beautiful - so many pieces and so many different styles!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen the snowflake pyrex pattern, LOVE it! I still have pyrex pieces from our wedding gifts 35 years ago. I use them all the time.

Hi Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteI love your Pyrex collection! I should have been keeping the Pyrex that I have had through the years, three years ago when we moved I gave a casserole dish to VV, it was white with little turquoise flowers on it.
Your collection on the top of your cabinets look wonderful.
Hugs, Cindy
I love the snowflake pattern. I have my MIL's green pyrex and love them. I have a few pieces of the yellows and oranges that I bought at a flea market. I can't wait for warmer weather, to hit the yard sales and out door markets so I can add to them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing pictures of your collection.
Hi Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteOh I love the blue pieces. I am moving away from pink and more into blue. I too use all my stuff.
Thanks for sharing your new toys with me. Santa was good to you.
Hugs,
Elizabeth
I strayed over here from Debra's As I See It Now blog. I still have pyrex dishes from our wedding in 1966, namely the Dutch boy/girl with rooster mixing bowl. Only the large and small bowls--guess the middle was broken some time ago. My dad also gave me the green floral design round baking dish when they broke a gold wheat bowl of mine. That wasn't necessary of course, It reminds of his thoughtfulness.
ReplyDeleteYou have a colorful collection. Now I know what to look for when I go antiquing.
I love, love, love your collection. Its great that your collection is so useful too.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing your Pyrex collection! That's neat when you can collect something AND enjoy using it. I have a few pieces that I really enjoy. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the snowflake pieces!!! Would love to find some of that pattern. Your collection looks neat in the cabinet and on top.
ReplyDeleteI will have to check these out. So beautiful.
