Friday already........

Good morning everyone.  This week flew by for us, I can hardly believe it's already Friday
I changed out the snowballs and snowflakes on the winter tree to hearts for Valentines.
Nothing is new. My mom made the crocheted hearts and I stitched the felt and sequins hearts years ago.
I like the twinkling lights, especially in the early morning and evening.
My grands haven't seen the Valentine tree yet but I know they will like it.

I don't think this photo shows how big this new table is.  We put in both leaves and it's 115 inches long, 48 inches wide and fits just right in our diagonal shaped dining room after we moved out the hutch.
I plan to sew some placemats but we bought these at Dollar Tree to protect the top for now.

CVS (of course)
3 boxes of Liptons tea $3 a box, used $1 coupon on each and got back $3 ECB
Pizzas $5.50 each, used 2 coupons Buy 2 get 1 free, and got back $10 ECB
Candy 99 cents, got back .75 ECB
Toothpaste was free after .50 coupon and $2.50 red machine coupon
Deodorants - used B1g1f coupons and got back $2.50 coupon

Have a good weekend everyone!

  1. I absolutely love that Valentine tree! That is so cute. I know your grandchildren will love it. Will you be decorating it for St Patrick's Day and/or Easter, too? Your dining table is perfect for when you have all your family over. I know you need the space! I just wish I had a dining room so I could fit a lot of people around a table. We only have an eat-in kitchen with a small table.

  2. I'm going to be bunching up people with folding tables and folding chairs in my house this weekend. I'd love to have a couple more leaves and several more chairs for the dining set. You got such a great deal on yours!
I still haven't had anyone reach down the Valentine's day decorations yet. Maybe on Sunday after my company leaves. I do love your little tree. The boys' room still has the Christmas lights up that Jess and I strung around the perimeter of the room by the ceiling. They just love them, so I hate to take them down.

  3. The tree is so festive. I like that the ornies are homemade. I'm sure you read that my Valentine's ornaments were mostly ruined after the basement flood by moisture. I'm left with lots of red balls that I saved from Christmas time. I didn't have enough to make it look full, so we left the snowflakes and snowmen on it. That's also a testimony to our wait for our first snow!

Is the table new to you? I love how long it is. We will need a long one. We have four teen and young adult children and will have spouses and grands one day.

Be blessed! I admire your frugality!

    1. Hi Laura, the table is new to us. I found it on a local Facebook swap and shop page. We got the huge table and 6 chairs for $295. I am still amazed it fits in our funny shaped dining room just right

  5. Cute tree! It's nice to have something festive this time of year. That is one big table! But it looks like you have plenty of family and friends to fill it. Have a fun-filled weekend!

  6. What a fun Valentines tree. Your new table is great. We are in need of a new table as well. We have outgrown our current one, though it has served us well. Have a great weekend!

  9. I love your Valentine's Tree! What a great idea! I was wondering how you get your extra coupons for CVS to get more than one deal? You already do so well at CVS! I wish my brain worked better. It overwhelms me!

    1. Hi Georgene, We get 2 delivered newspapers on Sunday. One is our little towns paper and one is the big Oklahoma City paper. My parents get a paper at their retirement home and they save their coupons for me. My brother also gets several papers and he saves his coupons but I only see him about once a month.
So I usually have 3 sets for each current week, sometimes more.
I have occasionally purchased extra Sunday papers for really good coupons. Dollar Tree sells them for $1.
I don't print lots of coupons but I use some internet coupons printed through Swagbucks.m

  10. I love your new table. We were able to get a new-to-us one from a garage sale 3 years ago and it's served us well.

  11. Your tree and table are both so pretty! What a deal on the tea at cvs ..I ran out this Past week and decided to pick some up at Kroger ..they wanted over $6 a box...I went for their off brand. I'm hoping there will be a deal soon so I can stock up on Lipton.

    1. $6 is too high! We like the Aldi brand black tea, it tastes the same as Lipton to us, and we buy it when we don't get low sales on Lipton.

  13. LOVE the table, it's beautiful! I looked hard for four cheese DiGiornio pizzas with no luck at my usual store and didn't get to go further afield as I'd hoped to do last week. Glad to see a good score for you on those!

  14. I'm envious of your CVS pizzas. What a deal! We've been eating from the pantry and not shopping much while we've been working on the house, but that should be done in the next few weeks. I hope you enjoy your new table and sharing your lovely Valentine tree with your grandchildren.
    Blessings, Leigh
