The Women Who Taught Me To Do Stuff, and who always asked me "what are your working on?"
my mother, grandmother, Aunts Bernice, Betty and Evelyn, baby cousin George. These are the women who I watched always being busy, they taught me to cook and sew and keep a nice home, and they always asked me "what are you working on?"

Hi Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your post! I always read you and enjoy seeing your family. Missed ya--Glad to see you back
Blessings, Donna
Hi Donna, thank you for the compliment. I see you are back blogging too, your Christmas activities were lots of fun to read about.
DeleteRhonda, you find the greatest deals at your thrift stores. The John Deere items are a steal for $8. We are all big JD fans around here. Ryan Allen has several put up and then Jaymees husband Ryan and his dad are huge collectors of JD stuff the toy stuff and real stuff! The kids will get alot of use out of them. When Ryan and nephews were small I made little feed bags from jeans and put corn inside. (also used rice and popcorn seed) Sewed 3 sides and then the top I really sewed shut several times but made it look like how you just rip a bag open. My the mini tractors and wagons I cut the seams of jeans into little pieces to resemble sacks.
ReplyDeleteHi Lana, Gavin would love some little sacks of feed to haul around in the trailers, thank you so much for the idea.
DeleteI don't know if you can tell from the picture but he got 5 tractors and 4 trailers in that thrift store haul. I don't think you can even buy the little size John Deere tractor new for $8.
It is always nice to hear from you!
What a deal on the tractors. My grandson would have been ecstatic.
