My husband has been dealing with several physical issues, the hardest for his day to day to life has been back pain. He has tried many things to get relief ——-doctors, spine injections and ablations, prescription and OTC pain relievers, pain patches, physical therapy, TENS machine, etc, etc, etc.
His pain has pretty much kept him at home in his recliner that has heat and massage.
Right before Christmas, I saw a Tv commercial for a pain reliever called Magnalife. I had no expectation it would work but I looked it up and saw it had pretty good reviews.
I showed my husband this photo and he said the box showed exactly where his pain issues were. Magnalife is sold almost everywhere for around $15. So I ordered a bottle and Walmart delivered it that day.
This stuff truly helps his back pain more than anything else he has tried.
this is not a sponsored post.
I’m just passing on how much this product has helped my husband.
It a homeopathic product and the active ingredient is capsicum which I believe is peppers. It says it is safe to use with prescriptions.
Now, With my husband feeling so much better, we are hopeful we may feel up to traveling again, gardening, going to more grandchildren events- or whatever comes up.
I’m a homebody at heart and I’m not wanting to be on the go all the time but if something comes up that we would like to do, I don’t think my husband’s pain issues will stop us.
a few things around home
I have a new planner that I ordered from someone on Instagram
I’m planning to memorize more Bible verses in 2025 and that’s my first one on the index card
I started an embroidery project on a denim shirt from my closet. I have so many craft supplies- every year I seem to think this will be the year I make a big dent in them. It willtake more than one tiny embroidery project but this a start.
I rarely shop in stores ( still happily getting most all our groceries from Kroger delivery or Walmart pickup or shipping)
But I wanted to get some discounted wrapping paper and gift bags so I went to Hobby Lobby when it was 70% Christmas off and then to Walmart where it was 75% off Christmas.
I did find roll wrap and gift bags, some little things to mail to granddaughter Cora every so often, silk flowers to put on graves, 2 red check kitchen towels (I would of bought more as I like checks year round but there were only 2) And tea bags and peanut butter because we needed them.
I’m glad I got my bargains but I do not like shopping in person anymore.
My daughter went to Hobby Lobby today when Christmas things were 90% off
She bought some things for their home and a bunch of children’s craft kits 90% off.
I put them all in a basket and they can stay in my craft room until we need them. It’s a lot and I expect we will share them at church or with friends.
Have y’all done after Christmas bargain shopping? I hope you found what you were looking for if you did.
well. those next 3 photos didn’t load to Blogger like I wanted them too but I’m still cooking at home - not exciting but our meals usually taste really good to us.
we still like sandwich boxes and baked carrots
this is produce straight from Kroger delivery after I washed it and got it ready for the fridge.
it works for me cook or more 2 entrees at the same time. Then the main cooking is done for several days
This was cabbage and white bean soup and sloppy joe filling.
Friends, I would like to blog regularly and hopefully I will in 2025.

Buying Christmas at 75% and 90% is a really good bargain and a savings for next year.
ReplyDeleteSorry your husband is dealing with such debilitating pain. I also have back issues and that picture on the box is where my pain is. I will see if we have this in Canada. Thanks for sharing. I hope your husband finds further pain relief.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you found something to help your husband.
ReplyDeleteSeeing him suffer no matter what he tried is awful.
I'm going to go buy some for myself.
Good to hear you're doing well.
Praise the Lord your hubs is getting relief now. Sometimes the simplest things seem to be the answer.
ReplyDeleteI love your journal.
Wishing you both a great new year with fun adventures.
Someone else mentioned capsicum for back pain to me this week, Rhonda. It certainly is something I will look into. I do hope that you blog more this year!

I am so sorry to hear about your husband's back pain. It is amazing that you were able to find something to relieve it! What a blessing! Your cooking and meal prep always inspires me. I love how many good things you were able to get from Christmas clearance! It is always so nice to see your posts! God bless you and your family!
ReplyDeleteThe photo on that box of tablets is about where my pain has been. I am doing stretching until I can see my doctor (which is taking forever to get in). We took want to do some traveling, and it does get in the way of quality of life for sure. I used to buy a lot of after Christmas sales when the kids were younger, but not anymore, as they have all moved out.
ReplyDeleteHi Rhonda, This is Ellie in AR. I 'm a long time reader, but have had trouble posting in the past.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that your husband has found pain relief that is a homeopathic medicine. Sciatic back pain is terrible.
I enjoy your to do lists with stamping. They are so cute. Your new planner with a check off for daily chores is cute!
You found great bargains at the Hob Lob.
Wishing your family many blessings in the New Year.

Nice to see a post again and wonderful you HB is feeling better. I did no bargain shopping after Christmas. Did not need anything. Since one of my NY resolutions was to cut on spending yeah ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi, Rhonda. I’m happy you found Magnilife. I’ve been using it for 6 years and take it with me everywhere we go. I also have been going to a chiropractor for 13 years. I do the stretches they showed me (basically yoga stretches) when my discomfort is bad. If I’m in bad pain I call our chiropractor and they get me in to work on the issue. I do not understand what people have against chiropractic medicine. It is all natural; no prescriptions. Anyway, it is nice to hear from you again and I hope your husband continues to improve.
ReplyDeleteIt is so good to see you blogging again. I have started my blog back up as well. My Magnilife pills are supposed to arrive today. I am all about homeopathic medicines. You got some really good deals! Your meals look good too! The new planner is really cute. I love a new planner! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see you back and glad your husband is getting some relief.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you posting! Happy New Year! One of my sons was here with his family of 5 for Christmas and we had a wonderful time...but he was suffering with back pain also. And he's only 52! I will pass on the picture of what worked for your husband. I hope you can continue with the posting...I enjoy all of your posts. Semper Fi!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Target and Hobby Lobby was 90% off Christmas decorations. I didn’t bite because I’m trying to minimize but I was soooooo tempted. There was so many items I liked. I finally had to slap myself, and leave. I’m better now! 😏
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear your husband has been down with back pain but glad he’s doing better. I’ll have to check that medicine out for my husband.
I love getting Christmas stuff when it's on sale. I'm so glad your husband found relief from his back pain. I've dealt with back pain and it's terrible! I'll have to check out the product you showed. Have a Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to see a post from you. I did no bargain shopping after Christmas. I just can't stand to be in the crowds that happen at that time. I also really did not need anything (though as we got a new tree I could have used some decor for it).
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
It was wonderful to see your blog pop up in my reader today.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your hubby has been able to find relief. I might look at that to see if it might help with hip/leg pain.
ReplyDeleteI went to Hobby Lobby and was surprised how much Christmas was still left. I bought 5 picks for $1.50 that I will use in my Valentine decor.
It's nice to see you blogging again!
Love your blog and the title - it’s often my mantra to get up and get busy - Mary
