Goodbye 2025

Hello friends,
I’m ready to turn the page from 2025 to 2026.
Actually, the last several years have been hard for our family but I’m hopeful 2026 will be better.
but we will see, right?

I’m planning for a more productive year ahead in several ways.

We didn’t have very elaborate Christmas decorations out this month and I packed away all the Christmas things today and
left up this 4 foot tree and put out mostly snow themed decorations.

on the tv are screensavers from Youtube- there are so many there to choose from.

This is the little New Years boy that was bought at a thrift store years ago but it’s really special to me because it looks like so much our grandson JJ.
But the ceramic boy was here long before JJ.

This may not be very readable and it’s just a rough draft so far.
In 2026,  I hope to declutter, organize and clean every space in our home.
Our home is not overly cluttered but every space needs some attention.
I’ll try to take photos and show my progress.

If you’re reading this,  thank you for sticking with me.

❤️Rhonda

    1. Thank you Katie- about decluttering, I think excess stuff is the plague of current times. Everyone seems to have too much stuff

  2. I love your list includes a craft plan! I want to try new crafts this year. And of course decluttering is always ongoing. I have personal goals too. My exercising has fallen be the wayside these last few months so of course I gained weight too!

    1. thank you! over the last couple of years, I have not been to as many crafts as I used to. I told my 15-year-old granddaughter that my plan was to try to focus on a different craft each month in 2026. I was thinking that once you start working on a craft, you have all that stuff out, and maybe I could actually finish some things if I just plan to leave it out for a month.
She was very excited about the idea. I don’t know how well it will work in reality, but we are going to try.
I hope you are successful with your personal goals, too❤️

  5. Last year I did a huge declutter. The plan this year is to go back through every thing and organize. I'm sure I'll find a thing or two to part with also. ;)

    Wishing you a better 2026!

  7. I've been decluttering too. Just finished my desk drawer. Next is the junk drawer in the kitchen. My big decluttering goal is to get the basement done this winter!

    1. thank you, Julie, I am going to write it down and have a plan for my peace of mind. Sometimes when things are a mess, we think oh everything is wrong. But it’s really just a few things. If I have a list, I could look at the list and say well, everything‘s not wrong. It’s just these things that haven’t got done yet

  9. I've never thought about adding a screen saver to our TV! We just turn it off, but I like the pop of color it brings to your room.
