April went by so fast! I want to blog one last time this month so I’m going to just post a bunch of things from our April
Easter was fun. We had a smaller family gathering with very easy food and some egg things.
Remember those little guys from what seems like just a few weeks ago?
Now they look like this….
They are 10, 11 and 14 now.
Our youngest grand, Cora was here for a very short visit (like 36 hours) this month. We were so busy the whole time but by evening, she and cousin Jackson were both so tired.
They were both waiting on their parents. So these 2 finally laid down and watched tv and I don’t know how they stayed awake. They were still excited and just happy to see each other
Not good things this month- the hot water heater broke but thankfully my husband and stepson were able to replace it. The old one was 9 years old.
And the washing machine is not working right. It’s about 2 years old but we bought a 5 year warranty as our appliances never seem to last long. Repair person is coming tomorrow.
We took a trip to Branson, Missouri- I guess it’s our favorite vacation place as we never go anywhere else.
We like to see the live music and comedy shows that Branson is famous for.
We stayed a full week and saw 15 shows and below are photos from a few of them.
Hits of the 80s at the American Theater
Acrobats from somewhere in China at the Mickey Gilley Theatre
Clay Cooper with part of his cast
The Haywood’s at Clay Cooper’s Theatre
Back to the 6o’s, also at Clay Cooper
Country Jamboree at Grand Country Music Hall
There are lots of things to do in Branson like golf, water activities, fishing, arcades, so much shopping! But we like the shows best of all.
At home, we’ve started just a bit of gardening.
And there are always things to do around our house, yours too I imagine?
I’ll be back tomorrow with a new week’s to do list.
Good night everyone
❤️ Rhonda
Glad you're back to blogging again. Sounds like a fun vacation, and fun times with the family.
ReplyDeleteWe have graduation next weekend for Grace and Garett from high school, and Wyatt from college (he went two years for electrical mechanics degree). I don't know how all our grands grew up so fast! Lol.
Hello Tammy, we did enjoy our vacation very much.
DeleteYoung mothers don’t like to be told to enjoy every day with their children because it goes fast but they understand that when they get to be our age, don’t they? All of our grandchildren are growing up to be wonderful people, but I do miss those days when they were little toddlers.
Grandchildren are such a blessing!! They do grow up so fast. Your trip and the show must have been wonderful. I hope your washer and water heater get fixed soon. God bless you!
ReplyDeleteHello, Mrs. White. Yes, I think grand children are about the sweetest thing on earth. And thankfully, the washer and hot water heater are both fixed and working perfectly right now. That is a blessing too!
DeleteSounds like you had a wonderful month (except for the appliances)! ..Kids grow so fast too. We went to Branson a long time ago maybe 25 years ago. I bet it has grown a lot since then.
ReplyDeleteYes, Branson has changed a lot in the last 25-30 years. There are still a lot of theaters and Silverdollar city is still there, but now there are many other attractions for families and children – several aquariums, several water, parks, lots of miniature, golf, and race tracks, and All kinds of attractions.
DeleteBut it still has a small town feel and we really enjoyed getting away there
Re your washer- mine is 6 months old and wasn’t working right due to sediment in our water, You wouldn’t believe the gunk the repairman cleaned out!
ReplyDeleteWe have hard water with lots of lime. That could be our problem too, and that’s also why we buy warranties. I just hope it will be fixed soon.
DeleteThe kids are sure growing up! Your vacation sounds like a nice time. Hope you have a wonderful May!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Hope you have a wonderful May as well
DeleteWe love Branson! My son has a beautiful second home there with a boat that his grandchildren love. There are lots of places to keep kids busy and adults too.
ReplyDeleteI imagine they do Enjoy the second home in Branson very much! You are right about Branson having things for everybody to do.
DeletePretty post and full of pretty pictures. How did I miss it?
ReplyDeleteThe post is just a couple days old, so you may have just seen it now
