Scenes from my home

Simple fall decorations
Beer bread baked in a yard sale Pampered Chef stone- the bread tasted good but was way too heavy- I'll look for a better recipe next time
A quilt spread on the living room floor makes for a cozy spot where my grandson likes to play
2 foot tall stack of fabric- a great deal purchased from a local swap and sell list

I've been dealing with yet another cold for the last 10 days or so- my next project is to try to improve my immunities.
Husband's knee surgery is this week

I'll be back blogging as soon as I can or when I have something interesting to blog about.

  2. I hope you feel better and that your husband's surgery goes well!

Your pictures and posts always inspire me. I want to make a pretty quilt for my grandchildren! I also LOVE what looks like a homemade quilted placemat in one of your pictures. I should work on that too. Wonderful ideas!!

  3. Love the quilt on the floor. I always enjoyed watching Megan play on the floor before she was mobile.

Sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope you can beat the cold before your hubby has surgery.

  7. My doc said to take 2000 mgs of Vit D3 daily to boost our immunities....you may want to try that with your Vit. C.

Hope Jeff's surgery goes well. Jeff is my husband's name, too, btw. :)

  8. What a pretty quilt! I'm sorry you have another cold. Are you catching it from your grandchildren? Take care of yourself...eat a lot of fruits and veggies, drink green tea, and try some herbal supplements! Olive leaf and oregano oil (you can get capsules) are great when you have a cold.

  9. Love the quilt AND the fabric and all that I know is that I was always sick when raising my kids. THEN I was never sick for about 10 years and LO and BEHOLD when I had grandkids I started getting sick again. Hmm...I do believe they are adorable little germ carriers :(

Best wishes and thoughts / prayers for the surgery! :)
