Hello everyone
I wrote out a new to do list for next week.
I’ve tried a couple other methods but this hand written list on a clipboard works best for me.
But I’m 100% certain I won’t accomplish all of it.
Some of the grands spent Friday night here so I cooked pancakes and sausage for breakfast.

This recipe is from my Uncle Jarvis. He was WWII Marine, father of 6 and a scout master.
I served these pancakes to my children when they were growing up, probably at least once a week.
I think the brown sugar and vanilla are what makes these pancakes taste so good.
Uncle Jarvis said to use oil but I used melted butter.

The grandsons wanted chocolate chips on theirs and plenty of butter.

It was good to go church in person this morning. Sitting a pew just was not doable when my husband’s back was so bad.
I’m thankful our church livestreams services but being there in person is just special.
Hope you all have had a good weekend and are ready for Monday
❤️ Rhonda
Those pancakes look delicious.
ReplyDeleteYour Uncle Jarvis sounds like a good man! The pancakes look wonderful. I am sure the grandchildren enjoyed them. I love that you have been able to attend church in person. It is definitely a blessing and something about it makes it more special than watching from home. But we are so grateful for the ability to watch church from home when we need to. God bless!
ReplyDeleteYes, my Uncle Jarvis was one of a kind ❤️
DeleteWe are very thankful for streaming church services and we watch whenever we cannot attend.
Wow that pancake recipe looks great! I've been using my sourdough starter for our pancakes lately but I'm going to write this one down and try it next!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter does sour dough and I think she sells 5 or more loaves a week. (and works full time while raising 3 children).
DeleteI’m thinking I should learn more about it though.
I imagine your sourdough pancakes are delicious 😋
I was so excited to see a post from you!
ReplyDeleteI read your blog everyday, I just don’t comment. It’s great to see a comment from you ❤️
DeleteI am the one with the back pain and one of these days I will bring a pillow with me to use on the pew. So very right that there is something so special being at church in person.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
If you need a pillow to get through the service, I say just do it.
DeletePancakes look yummy. Thanks for sharing.
