We’ve had a very quiet Sunday.
I did an early morning Walmart pickup
I got the biggest pack of toilet paper I’ve ever seen
Milk, eggs, produce - my good substitute was I ordered a 5 pound bag of carrots and they substituted 3 2 pound bags of organic carrots
Sometimes I make a dessert peach halves filled with sweetened cream cheese and chopped pecans. My granddaughter asked me to make it soon so I ordered canned peaches and she will be happy
Apparently I wasn’t keeping track when I selected bread. 3 loaves went straight to the freezer.
A few non edibles including some bananas that won’t be eaten for awhile.
I’m usually very happy with my pickup produce but bananas, you just never know.
The Jergens Wetskin lotion really helps my dry skin in the winter. You put it on after you shower but before you dry off. It really sinks in fast and be use you don’t rinse it off, it doesn’t leave the shower floor slippery like some other shower lotions I’ve tried.
We had simple meals today too
Breakfast was hash brown with onions and bell peppers and an egg on top
Supper was another bowl- rice from yesterday, beans and corn, chicken taco meat left from Friday with sautéed onions and poblano peppers and little queso cheese on top.
Hope you all had a relaxing Sunday
❤️ Rhonda
I have not done a food order to pick up, yet. Recipe for peach dessert, please?
ReplyDeletePlease share your peach halves dessert recipe.
ReplyDeleteI too am interested in the peach dessert recipe. I've never heard of Wetskin lotion before. I'll have to see if they have it in Walmart here too. Have a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen bananas that green in the stores here. Could those be plantains? The cream cheese peach desert sounds good.
ReplyDeleteThat dessert sounds good.
ReplyDeleteI am curious - when they substitute do they charge you for the thing you ordered or the substitution. I would think 3 bags of carrots would cost more than one 5 lb.
I have never ordered groceries yet.
A quiet week-end is needed once in awhile! Your simple meals look good!
ReplyDeleteHave a GREAT week!
I had three substitutions in my pickup order this morning - all were okay, I got the more expensive options for the lesser expensive prices. I also got a little gift bag with some free items - some hazelnut spread, a garlic mustard, and a few other goodies. I'm always happy to give them good reviews, too.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see the peach dessert recipe, too!
I love your pictures..We got to see all of your haul this way. We get peach halves by the quart jar. They are made by the amish. Only about $6. I can't buy them here and can them for that price.
