There is a new batch of Walgreens deals this week.
I pretty much followed Savvy Coupon Shopper’s plan from YouTube
I only used digital coupons and the 3 paper Walgreens rewards I got on last week’s trip.
I paid $5.48 cash and earned back $10 in Walgreens rewards and about $7 in Walgreens cash
My granddaughter was with me and she was pretty surprised when the total was so low.
She wanted to go the library so that was our next stop.
We have a very nice public library.
I picked up some free seeds there.
These are the 2 recipes in that Burpee pamphlet that sound really good to me.
I’m not sure this one needs a whole cup of olive oil though - what do y’all think?
I’ve made a little more progress in the backyard garden, but no photos yet.
This nice spring weather is misleading. It makes me want to move my tomato plants outside when is 65 or 75 degrees. But I see we have a hard freeze in the forecast next week.
So I’ll be waiting until April 15 even though I don’t want to.
Hope you are well
❤️Rhonda
That's a lot of oil. Start with a 1/4 cup and work up. Great couponing.

I was thinking too
DeleteGreat deals. You had me at radish!!! Gosh, I love them.
ReplyDeleteI like radishes too, and they are super easy to grow
DeleteThe Creole Sauce sounds good, but I'm with Barb-- 1/4 cup of oil and 2 Tbs of wine vinegar, to start.
ReplyDeleteI find it bizarre that the recipe says you will probably need to add MORE oil because the vegetables will "absorb it". Uhhh, NO. Those vegetables are going to exude a lot of juice--not absorb it. Esp with the salt.
I think that recipe was written by someone without cooking (or vegetable!) experience...
That is pretty much what I thought. If the salad had pasta in it or potatoes, then it would absorb oil but vegetables like tomatoes don’t absorb oil. I hope to make it this summer if we have a good tomato crop
DeleteGoodness, that does seem like a great deal of oil. You did very well couponing.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thank you ❤️
DeleteIt's very hard when it's so warm to want to move the plants but we have freezes forecast for awhile. Your deals are great at Walgreens. I need to try it this week.
ReplyDeleteI wish my coupon deals turned out that way. I could do that exact transaction and somehow I would walk out paying 3 times as much. I just never have much luck with coupons.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, I can get Tommy to move the plants out tomorrow! He says they are growing in the dark utility room.
ReplyDeleteYou did well on that coupon buy.
Savings like those from your Walgreens trip are always so satisfying, Rhonda! Your granddaughter must have been amazed by how low your total was.
ReplyDeleteThat really was a good price for all that!
